Sunday School

The CFC Sunday School program is committed to training our children in the ways of the Lord by planting truths from the Word of God in their hearts starting at a young age. Classes are provided for children ages one to 6th grade. For more information, contact: sundayschool at cfchome dot org.

-Nursery: 1 and 2-year olds
-Bible Study: 3-year olds - 6th graders
-Worship: 3-year olds - 6th graders (split into Early Childhood & Primary)

NURSERY
We have a special place for your child if they are 1 or 2 years of age. Our nursery is staffed by approved volunteers who love to nurture your child while you worship the Lord. We provide a loving, clean, well-supervised and holistic environment where the children listen to Bible songs and stories, receive one-on-one care, are fed and most importantly prayed for. One-year olds will be part of the Kingdom Kittens room, and two-year olds can join the Beloved Bunnies room.

Please note: the Nursery is not available during Sundays when there is only one service. This is to allow our Nursery teachers to be able to attend Sunday Worship.

• Time: 12:30-2:15 p.m. (Sundays when two adult services offered)
• Location: room (signs will be posted) adjacent to the adult worship

*Parents, please provide snacks, drinks and necessary diaper changing materials.
*A room is also available for privacy and comfort of nursing mothers.

WORSHIP
At noon Bible Study classes gather together to eat a freshly prepared lunch. After lunch, everyone enters into a time of Worship with the worship service teachers. The children learn to pray, take part in offering, and sing songs to Jesus. Messages from the Word of God are an essential part of the worship service where the children learn about their Heavenly Father through the weekly Bible stories. The children split into two groups (early childhood and primary) in order to ensure that the message is age appropriate. Finally, the children end the day with various hands-on activities (crafts, games, etc.) until pick-up time.

BIBLE STUDY
Preschoolers (3 and 4-year olds) to 6th graders start their morning by meeting in small groups with their peers for Bible Study. Bible Study is a time when students can engage in an in-depth study of the Word, and have discipleship in small groups with their peers. Through these classes students learn to apply the Word of God, share personal insights and questions, and pray with one another. This small group setting allows for deep discussions and personal applications, as the children develop Christ-centered friendships with their classmates and teachers. All the Bible Study teachers are qualified teachers who are certified in education.

• Location: University YMCA (corner of Wright & Chalmers St. in Champaign)

*Parents, please send your child with a Bible and offering, if possible.

Drop-off/Pick-up Procedure: University YMCA (corner of Wright & Chalmers St. in Champaign)

Drop-off: 12:15-12:30pm
Pickup: 2:30pm

1. Enter the YMCA parking lot from Wright Street. There is a narrow driveway on your left before the YMCA building.

2. Take the narrow driveway into the back parking lot to drop off (11am) and pick up (2:30pm) your child. Teachers will be waiting by the back door.

3. Exit the parking lot onto Chalmers St.

This procedure will help us keep your children safe and the roads clear. Thank you! (If you need to park your car to come in, you may park in the YMCA parking lot temporarily.)
