![]() Week One | Week Two | Week Three | Play-Off Updates Team Updates Team Aurum Laguna They did better this week with a 1-1 record. Ben Bodensteiner might make a case for League MVP with 26 points and 12 rebounds. And his movie will be coming out in a couple weeks. Suggey Shin sported a nice haircut and it probably helped him get 15 rebounds. David Hyun showed his quick hands with 4 steals and Jeremy Chen had a nice night with 5 points and 4 rebounds. When Martin Lee comes back, look for them to improve. Team Dae Wong Kang Dae Woung's team got their first loss and went 1-1, but they still look very good. Lawrence Tai had a breakout game with 10 points and Stanley Wu did well with 9 points. Kevin Bauer continues to impress with 8 points and 8 rebounds. Team Dan Song Team Dan had a okay week with a 1-1 record even without their surprise player Cory Funk. Joe Jun led the team with 25 points and 13 rebounds. John Kim (4 steals) continued to play really tough d and his fast breaks helped him score 8 points. He might make the all defensive team if he keeps this up. Last week, James (Dennis) Lee wins the game with a free throw, this week he hits all his jumpers(5 points). Team Dave Kang Dave's team did better this week with a 1-1 record. Chang Sik had a monsterous game with 22 points and 16 rebounds. Edwin Lee had a breakout game with 7 points and 7 rebounds). Dave Shin also did okay with 8 points, but he will have to shoot better to clear up the inside. Dave Kang contributed with 3 fouls. Team Ho Young Moon Team Hoyoung went 1-1. They were off one game but hopefully they'll do better next week. Travis Steiner(11 points, 7 rebounds) had a solid night. Peter Kim also had a good night with 8 points and 4 rebounds. Will Al Navata(14 points) be able to keep on carrying this team? Hoyoung was unable to hit a 3 pointer this week. Maybe next time. Team Hyung Ro -This team is looking better as they play more. Charles Han(15 points) and Marques Pearson(17 points) did their usual stuff, but it's the others that have really stepped up. Rich Kang(8points), Mike Oh(10 points), and Jin Kim(8 points) have been shooting lights out, and this makes them a very dangerous team. Hyung Ro came back from his ankle injury to score 2 points, but he did have a great offensive foul called on him. He gave a good double forearm shiver. Okay so it's illegal, but is sure did look good, if this was the wrestling!!! Just playing Hyung. Team P. Jong Park The return of Pastor Jung inspired this team to a 2-0 record. Heath Lord(8 points, 10 rebounds) arrived to give them an inside presence. And Marc Glanton(13 points) may have size, but it's his outside skills that are opening people's eyes. Karl VanRoekel has been a nice suprise with 10 points and 8 rebounds. If you didn't know, they practiced together during the week and it clearly showed. Team Kenny Kim They did alright with a 1-1 record. Pastor Min(15 points) and Mike Illuzi(19 points) carried the team this night, but don't count out Ki Kim to have a breakout game. Solomon Kim has done well (8 points, 3 rebounds) with the help of the veterans on this team. Hopefully Kenny Kim will be able to shoot more of his deadeye shots. He is following the footsteps of Cory Bradford. Team Kevin J. Kim Without JinBae Park and KJ's broken thumb, they struggled to an 0-2 record. Kevin Ward has been doing well with 13 points. But it was Doil Kim who carried this team with 8 points, 6 steals, and 18 rebounds. He replaces KJ as the rebounding monster. Dan Hwang played tough D with 3 steals but he will need to shoot more 3's for them to win. Team Lester Cruzat They went 0-2, but it was because they were missing MC Neal. Don't count this team out yet. Henry Cho might be the sleeper this summer with 18 points and 16 rebounds. John Lee cooled off a little bit this week with 8 points and Fasi Asadi contributed 2 points. Team Matt Lee Without their star player Tom Costello and Steve Roeckeman, they struggled to a 0-2 record. Gerald Huang is starting to heat up with 10 points, but it was Cody Sulaimana(6 points, 4 rebounds) who showed great improvement. Edgar Benitez continues to do well with 6 points and 8 rebounds. Team Mike Park Even with the return of Mike Park they could only go 1-1, but they were missing a key player in Jeetae Suh. Joe Yoon must have practiced while he was on missions cause he had a solid game(12 points). Kyung Kim(13 points) and Bruce Latimer(10 points, 8 rebounds) . Mike Park made up for last week with 15 points and even had 4 assists. Usually all his assists go into the basket, not to other people. Chris Anello also contributed with 9 points and 6 rebounds. Team Min Kim They should change their name to Team Chemistry. Dennis Cho came back from an off week to explode for 19 points, 6 assists, and 11 rebounds(the first person in summerleague history to almost get a triple double). Jason Cheng is turning into one of the sleepers with his offensive putbacks(12 points). Even without Jeff Ma, they were clicking right from the start. Eric Sohn will probably be inspired to write another article after playing well(6 points). John Lee may be the big guy but he had 6 steals. Even Angelo Deguzman got into the act with 2 points. All that time spent doing transparencies has helped his shooting touch. And the team captain and point guard Min, had two blocks for the night. He should change his name to Baron Davis. Team Peter Min They struggled to an 0-2, but there were some good surprises. Benjamin Sanders did well with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Jeff Feng also contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounbs. Jim Han has come back from retirement to score 6 points. He scored it after taking his shirt off. Victor Chang also had a hot game with 8 points. Mookie Lee is starting to look for his shot more with 6 points. And Dennis Hong recorded his first rebound, in five years. Congradulations. Team Rich Woo They cruised to a 2-0 record with the appearance of Tom Kim(15 pts, 10 rebounds). Kun Doh might have scoed only 1 point in both games but he contributed mightily with 12 rebounds. Luke Lim also had a solid game with an acrobatic left handed layup and tough defense. And Vytas Jurjonas proved tough on the inside with 8 rebounds and good interior defense. Mike So might have looked like he was ready to play soccer but he directed the offense. Rich did well with 23 points, but he is making a better impression with his growing leadership. This is a very dangerous team with players who know their roles. Team Sam Huh Team Sam Huh squeaked out a 1-1 record. Ron Choi is having another solid year with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Wung Chung might just be the best playmaker with a night's high 14 assists and 23 points. Chang Yi also helped out with 4 points and 2 rebounds. John Chung is also having a better week with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Team Sean Lee Sean's team again went 2-0 even without Scott Rochelle there for one of the games. They have a great inside out game. Scott manned the middle with 3 blocks and 8 rebounds. Joel Park had a great day with 24 points, but it was the outside shooting of Ali Asadi(8 points) that helped them win. With the defense all trying to stop Scott, Sean's team were open all day for open jumpers. Steve Kim contributed with 4 points and 8 rebounds. If he keeps on helping out this way, you might see this team go all the way. Team Youssef Elias They did better this week with a 1-1 record. Charlie lee continues to lead this team with 19 points. Al kim has been scoring more this summer with 8 points. But only 1 rebound. He might lose his tough monkey status with another week like this. Tom Lee helped in their one win with 5 points. Team Zion Park Even with Zion Park coming back they struggled with a 0-2 record without Andrew Yee. Mikey Shiau had a good game with 5 points and Bohr Woung Tsao held his own with 5 rebounds. Joetah Park cooled a bIt with only 6 points, but David Lee picked up the slack with 5 points. |
