MOST IMPROVED PLAYERS OF THE YEAR
JAMES GOLDENEYE KIM - He can probably win the "gym rat" award if there was such a category. He's been
at the gym almost every day this summer honing his hoop skills. He was instrumental in helping his team
go 5-1 this summer. His 5ft jumpers are deadly now and can cause lot of headache for the opposing team. Way to
go Goldie!
JIN LENO KIM - Don't let his size fool you. Ignore him on the court and he will hurt you with his
dead-eye, three point shooting accuracy. He had 20pt, 4 assists, 6 steals, and 8 boards. Not bad. He also has
been spooted playing ball everyday at IMPE. Watch his draft status rise next season.
KYU CHANG - Started out by winning the player of the week award and continued to be productive.
He's only 21, so he's got plenty of time to improve. He can only get better from her and on.
Once he hones his point guard skills, he can be a potential first rounder next year or two. (26pts, 5 assists,
5 steals, and 11 boards)

PLAYER OF THE YEAR

JEFF MA - Let the numbers do all the talking: 82 points, 3 assists, 6 steals,
58 rebounds, and 3 blocks. With him playing, their team went 5-1. Without
him, they were 1-3. Move over Yao Ming, he's the real deal. He also
wins the play-off MVP.
SUMMERLEAGUE FINALS MVP

MIN KIM - It just seemed like yesterday when Min was a freshmen. He lead his team with Jason Kidd-like passing and
Baron Davis-like scoring. When it counted the most, he hit the clutch free throws to secure win
for the team. He was the leader of the wolfpack that dominated Sean Lee's team in the finals. This might be
his last year of summer league. What a way to make an exit. Perhaps he should retire after this year
and just help out next year just like previous champ Parker Yi. His final stats: 33 pts, 16 assist,
5 steals, 12 rebounds, and 2 blocks!
SLEEPER OF THE YEAR

CORY FUNK - Team Dan gambled when they drafted this player thinking that
with a name like Cory Funk, you either have to be really good
or really bad. Well he proved that he's got what it takes
to be a first round material. He played a major role in helping
his team reach the semi-finals. He ends the season with
71pts, 3 assists, 9 steals, 40 boards and 6 blocks.
SIXTH MAN AWARD

JOEL PARK - Had he made half of his three pointers in the final game, he could have taken Min Kim's title for
the Finals MVP. Whenever Sean Lee was cold or Scott Roeschelle was triple teamed, they always relied
on Joel Park to step up. He may not be the go-to-guy, but you can always rely on him to consistently
contribute night after night. He finished the year with 64 points, 2 assists, 6 steals,
8 rebounds, and 2 blocks.
