Ministries

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. Mark 10:45

Just as Christ came not to be served, but to serve, ministries are places you can use your God-given gifts and abilities to serve and encourage, while getting to know others in the church. Although sign-ups are done at the beginning of each semester, you are welcome to join at any time. Email the listed ministry leader for details.

Audio MinAudio Resource Ministry (Haley Mui – haleymui@gmail.com) Ever wonder how the sermons get posted on the website each week? You can help provide resources (CDs, online mp3s, videos) that allow others to receive strength through the preaching of God’s Word. No experience is necessary. We will teach you everything you need to know to record, edit, and post sermons.

Book MinBook Table Ministry (Sae Han Park – parksaeh12@gmail.com): “The apostle Paul wrote to Timothy from his prison chamber, ‘Bring me the books’ for he knew that a book–and especially the Good Book–could break the mind out beyond the walls and deliver true freedom” (Ravi Zacharias). Serve the body of Christ by sharing different titles that will aid others in their spiritual growth.

Video MinCFCVision Video Ministry (Soomin Hyun – soohyunone@gmail.com): The purpose of this ministry is to use video, music and story-telling to highlight different events in our church and to share various aspects of our faith in God. We believe the creative use of video can tell a story with a language our generation can understand. So, whether you love capturing moments, editing videos or finding music for videos, this ministry is for you! We will offer many projects throughout the semester so we need lots of people, so please sign up and join us!

Decor Ministry (Crystal Ahn - crystala@illinois.edu): We know CFC to be a place of inner beauty, but how great would it be to show some off on the outside too! Food MinFood Ministry (Esther Jun – estherleejun@gmail.com): “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31). Mustard Seeds (MS) (Soomin Hyun – soohyunone@gmail.com): Mustard Seeds is a dance ministry that serves CFC by using dancing and drama to share about the Gospel. It is an appointment-based ministry which basically means we receive recommendations from leaders in the church. Then, from there, our officers prayerfully and wisely discuss who would best grow spiritually through the ministry. In short, our ministry is for those who love dancing and want to serve God. If you have any questions about the ministry or want additional information please email us! We will also be holding informal dance workshops throughout the year, please email us if you want more information regarding these workshops.

Photography Ministry (Dan Lee - emaildanlee@gmail.com): Ever see someone taking pictures during Revival, Lock-Ins, or Retreats? We are the specially trained and commissioned group of people who handle cataloging our church history through photos! We also do quite a bit to improve each other as photographers through workshops and networking. Owning a dSLR is the only requirement! Come see how photography is being used to impact the kingdom!

Scribes (Linn Min - scribes@cfchome.org): Have you ever wondered how CFC sermons end up as manuscripts on the web? Do you enjoy chewing on the word of God? Learn to produce sermon manuscripts as you internalize the Word of God. Pastors and leaders around the world study the manuscripts to make Bible studies and sermons that can influence thousands of people.
